"Sara Mello is contemporary Brazilian artist, whose works have stood out in the national scene due to her original and authentic style. Evident in her brushstroke, her biggest influence is the world renowned surrealist Salvador Dalí. Her style is characterized by a sense of constant movement and a fluidity of strong colors.

Sara holds a degree in Architecture from UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista) with specializations in Visual arts from Faculdade Paulista and Arts Techniques for Theater, Films, Television and Advertising from Universidad Complutense de Madrid but even before entering the academic world Sara Mello was already an artist. At the age of thirteen she won honorable mention in the contest "Sorocaba do que jeito que você vê", an exhibition created by the Secretary of Culture of Sorocaba. Since then she has never stopped creating art.

Over the years Sara Mello has produced many impressive illustrations, murals and panels such as the stage set for the production "The Swan Lake" of the YMCA Dance Company of São Paulo and the illustration for the magazine “De Mulher pra Mulher”.

Also present in the world of film and advertising, Sara Mello has designed and built stage sets for the music video “Estranho jeito de amar” of the famous Brazilian duo, Sandy & Junior as well as illustrations for the documentary “Coração Vagabundo” which details the life of the legendary Brazilian singer, Caetano Veloso. Both pieces were directed by Fernando Andrade.

Recently Rede Globo, the largest Media Group in Brazil, invited Sara Mello to do a live art performance at the opening of its nationwide soap opera “Caras e Bocas”.

"Sara Mello é uma artista contemporânea, cujas obras têm se destacado no cenário nacional por sua linguagem autêntica. Seu traço marcante, influência do mais célebre artista surrealista, o mestre Salvador Dalí, é reconhecido pelo constante movimento e a fluidez das cores fortes.

Formada em arquitetura pela UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista), pós-graduada em artes visuais pela Faculdade Paulista de Artes e com especialização em técnicas plásticas voltadas para o teatro, cinema, televisão e publicidade pela Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Sara Mello transita no universo artístico antes mesmo de prestar o vestibular. Aos 13 anos ganhou menção honrosa no concurso "Sorocaba do que jeito que você vê" - exposição criada pela secretaria da cultura da mesma cidade, em comemoração ao seu aniversário – e desde então, não parou mais.

No trabalho de Sara Mello, entre ilustrações e pintura de painéis e murais, destacam-se obras como o cenário de “O Lago dos Cisnes”, da Cia de Dança YMCA, ilustrações para a revista “De mulher para mulher”, publicação bimestral vendida nas lojas Marisa e arte desenvolvida para evento do Dia Internacional da Mulher realizado pela Câmara de Moura - Portugal.

Também presente no mundo do cinema e da publicidade, a artista plástica desenvolveu criações como o cenário do clipe “Estranho jeito de amar”, da dupla Sandy e Júnior, e ilustrações para o documentário sobre Caetano Veloso, “Coração Vagabundo”. Ambos dirigidos por Fernando Andrade.

Recentemente, Sara Mello foi convidada pela rede Globo para fazer um live art durante a festa de abertura da novela “Caras e Bocas”.
